I recently had the chance to photograph a family session right here in Marin County. The warm evening provided the perfect backdrop, and the response was fantastic—so much so that I got a ton of inquiries about booking this gorgeous spot for future shoots.
This wasn’t my first time working with Talia and Jeff. Our journey started with a newborn session for their first child, which was actually a gift from Talia’s sister. How cool is that for a photographer to experience?
Over the years, Talia and Jeff have become like family. I’ve been there to capture their milestones and growing family. When it came to this latest shoot, they were up for anything—even a short hike to our chosen location. The kids were amazing; they tackled the hike with enthusiasm, which made the whole session even more fun and rewarding.
Marin County is a photographer’s dream. With its beautiful beaches and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, it’s a place where nature provides an incredible backdrop. Add in the vibrant energy of Talia and Jeff’s family, and you’ve got the recipe for stunning photos. Even though sunset sessions can get a bit crowded, the results speak for themselves. The beauty of the Bay Area truly shines through this session.
I used to be a bit unsure about scheduling sunset shoots because of the crowds, but this recent session proved that the effort is totally worth it. The stunning scenery and the joy of capturing such special moments made it clear that Battery Spencer is an amazing place for photos, especially if you are a professional family photographer.
As we wrapped up the session, we reminisced about past shoots and shared plenty of laughs. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a family photographer. It’s all about bringing joy to families and capturing those precious memories.
