First things first: This isn’t really about me. It’s about you.

You want photos that feel like you—natural, warm, joy-filled, and real. You want someone who doesn’t just show up with a camera, but with heart, intention, and an eye for the moments you didn’t even know you wanted to remember.
That’s exactly what I’m here for.
I’m Shefali Parekh, and I’ve spent the last 7+ years building a photography business rooted in connection, trust, and storytelling. Every session I book is more than a job—it’s an invitation to be part of someone’s most meaningful milestones.
A little about how I got here…
Some people fall in love with music or sports. For me, it was photography. At 16, I got my first DSLR and never looked back. I started photographing anything and everything—kids at my mom’s daycare, high school events, my friends’ birthday parties, even the most ordinary moments. I wasn’t just taking photos—I was seeing the world differently.
In 2017, I graduated with a degree in kinesiology and a camera practically glued to my hand (metaphorically, but close). While everyone else followed the “safe” path, I followed what lit me up inside.
Big dreams.
Zero business experience.
And a whole lot of determination.
And somehow, it worked.
Now based in San Francisco—with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of natural light.
In 2021, I packed up my life in the East Bay and moved into my first apartment in the city. San Francisco quickly became my creative playground. From windswept beaches to golden hour trails to charming city corners—I found myself constantly inspired by this place, and even more so by the people I got to photograph in it.
Today, I get to work with the most incredible humans—expecting parents, new families, sweet newborns, spirited toddlers, proud partners (and yes, occasionally a very photogenic pup). The trust my clients place in me is something I hold with so much care.
