Hi there!

Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful newborn session for an old client in Mill Valley.

In-home newborn sessions are truly sweet and timeless and provide the perfect space to
document precious moments of the newborn's arrival.

My photography style is a well-balanced blend of modern and documentary that captures the
raw emotions and intimacy of those first experiences with your newborn.

Also, I'm trained to safely position and photograph your baby so you can feel relaxed
throughout the session.

In-home newborn sessions are my favorite because they provide a relaxed and intimate
environment for the baby and parents. Conducted in the comfort of your own home, these sessions make use of the best combination of light and space, utilizing spaces like the master bedroom, living area, and nursery. They also offer the flexibility to incorporate personal items and spaces that are meaningful to the family, creating a more personalized aesthetic in the photos.

These sessions typically last about 1.5 hours, allowing time for feeding, changing, and calming the baby. I encourage siblings and pets to be present for the session, because they add warmth and joy to the photos. Grandparents are also welcome! Once you book your session, you'll receive a questionnaire and session guide to help you prepare for the big day.

One of the reasons why I love in-home sessions is because they capture the genuine connections and love between family members, as well as the everyday moments that make up family life. This results in timeless and priceless images that reflect the unique personalities and relationships within the family.

When scheduling a newborn session, it's important to consider the baby's age and developmental stage. Newborn photography sessions are typically best done between 6-20 days (about 3 weeks) after birth, although they can be done for babies up to 4 months old.

If the baby is slightly older, a lifestyle session can be a great option to capture authentic moments and connections within the family.

I firmly believe that the most impactful and memorable photographs are the ones that
authentically capture genuine emotions and moments.

  • Like the nursery was a sight to behold, it was lovingly decorated in a way that reflected
    the family's style and personality.
  • The baby's grandparents' presence added an extra layer of love and warmth to the
photos, creating a beautiful family narrative.
  • Newborns swaddled snuggly in their parents' arms and waited for kisses from siblings
    and grandparents.
  • The home environment allowed the kids to open up quickly, that resulted in genuine
smiles and were a joy to capture.

I’m always on the lookout for unique and heartwarming sessions through my lens.

So, if you are looking to schedule a newborn session you can send me an email via the contact page. Although most months fill up early, I do take last minute requests if my schedule allows for it!
