It was fun meeting the Sarachan family again after a year! I had photographed them last fall for their annual family photos. Click here to check it out if you haven’t already! I am forever obsessed with their firstborn Shay, who is full of life and toddler humor! I was so thrilled when Rea had reached out to me when expecting her second! Soon after their baby was born, I visited Rea and Ian’s home in San Jose to photograph the arrival of Edison James Sarachan!

It is so special to have return clients and amazing to watch their children grow up! It was such a joy to see Shay hold her baby brother in her arms and enjoying her new role as big sis! The bond between a brother and sister is always so special, even when personalities are worlds apart! The sweet family cuddled up together and swooned over their new bundle of joy!

“Edison has an older sister, Shay, who is 2 years old. She is obsessed with her baby brother. Always wants to kiss him and hold him every chance she can get. When he is crying, Shay will say, “baby brudder needs mommy boobies”. – Rea

“Edison is named after Ian’s Great Aunt Edith, who we were very close with. She passed away in 2013.” – Rea

How did you find out the gender?

“The nurse called me with the results and I originally told Ian we would find out together, but I could not wait. So, I texted Ian to guess what the sex was and told him “you are going to die”. With that comment, Ian knew he was having a BOY!” – Rea
